My Top 50 Players going into 2017
50-41
As most of you NFL Junky's know, NFL Network recently released their "Top 100 Players of 2017". It's a list voted on by the Players to rank the top NFL Players going into this upcoming year. In the NFL Networks version of Top 100 Tom Brady earned the number 1 spot out of all players, and of course knowing me I had to have my own say in this list so I've made one down below. I had decided to make this list of the top 50 to predict the top players for this upcoming season, I hope you Enjoy!
50-41
50. Kwon Alexander LB Buccaneers
49. Devonta Freeman RB Falcons
48. Thomas Davis LB Panthers
47. Jamies Winston QB Buccaneers
46. Marcus Mariota QB Titans
45. Ndamukong Suh DT Dolphins
44. Martellus Bennett TE Packers
43. Jordy Nelson WR Packers
42. Joey Bosa DE Chargers
41. Xavier Rhodes CB Vikings
Breakdown: Kwon Alexander starts off the list at number 50, I think Kwon Alexander is one of the best young LB's in the league. Last year we saw so much improvement from him and he just keeps on getting better. In Tampa he is joined by Lavante David at Linebacker where they'll form a deadly duo. Coming out of Florida State I predicted Devonta Freeman would be a probowl Running Back and look where he is now... but these past two years Freeman has bursted onto the scene as a legitimate number 1 fantasy option at Running Back. Freeman's one of the fiercest backs in the league and I wouldn't be surprised if he gets even more carries in OC Steve Sarkisian's offensive system. Sticking in the NFC south, we have Thomas Davis coming in at number 48. Davis has been one of the best LB's in the league throughout his career and I expect him to continue his run with being number 48. Davis is one of the most athletic linebackers in the league his stats last year were 106 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 2 FR, and 3 interceptions... Expect similar stats for this upcoming year. The first Quarterback on this list is Jamies Winston at number 47. Many people including me believe that Jamies is the future of the NFL and can become an elite quarterback. He has new weapons with OJ Howard and Desean Jackson and still has Mike Evans who is one of the best WR's in the NFL. Marcus Mariota was taken with the 2nd overall pick in 2015 right after Jamies and now he's one spot ahead of him on my top 50 list. Mariota has proven to be one of the most consistent players in the NFL with a 18-0 touchdown-interception ratio in the redzone last year. "Suuuuuuuuuhhh" Coming in at number 45 is Ndamokung Suh. He's one of the best DT's to ever play and doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon. Ndamokung is a beast and you can't deny it. Martellus Bennett is a goon and with his new team being the Packers you can expect for his stats to only go up with Aaron Rodgers at qb and no Gronk on his team. In 2016, Jordy Nelson led the NFL in receiving touchdowns with 16 and had 1,337 receiving yards. I think Jordy will have an other strong year in 2017 but won't be nearly as good because of Marty Bennett, Davante Adams, and the improved running game of the Packers. Moving on, Joey Bosa is already one of the best defensive lineman in the league and is only going into his 2nd season. Bosa is an elite talent and you can only expect him to improve. At number 41, we have one of the best young lockdown corners in Xavier Rhodes. Rhodes was another guy I was in love with coming out of college and I haven't lost that love for him since he's been in the league. Last year Rhodes had locked up some of the best receivers in the league (including Odell) and has earned the respect from other veterans in the league.
